Dang, it feels like home!
It's been some time since I wrote and this whole time that I didn't write I was wondering why I am not writing. To be more precise why I don't have an urge to write, because there is plenty to write about and China didn't dry out of surprises and anecdotes that are worth sharing. Being out of town for 10 days with work and arriving home last night I got the answer to my dilemma: China became to feel like home. It's astonishing how happy I was to walk on the familiar streets, go to the fruit market next to my home. I missed my Chinese home so much that I even enjoyed cleaning the bathroom, moping the floors in the apartment and doing my laundry till 2am. You can ask my parents I'm usually not that enthusiastic or committed to do these things back home in Moldova:))) Snow in summer is more probable that me enjoying housework!I don't know how long it takes for a place to become home for an average person, but it took me 10 months. And a great deal of this transformation is due to the amazing people that I met here and shared awesome moments with. It tears me apart to think that in 3 months I will have to say good-bye...or farewell. However, after this short break for personal time, I will proceed writing about China, about the quirky and weird China, about beautiful and amazing China, about friendly and loving China, about red China.Though China feels like home, don't get me wrong, Moldova is and will always be my home. Nonetheless, China and Michigan will always be a part of me as well as a part of me will always be present there. I read a sentence here in China, that I exceedingly relate to "Your country at heart and the whole world in view!" I want to share a picture of a corner of my room that every day reminds me where I am from and where are my roots. I am proud to be from Moldova.PS: Keep tuned to read about my trip to Macau and see unique combination of the Portuguese and Chinese culture. You never thought that something like that is possible ha?! neither did I :)
