Unstoppable.

The mini marathon that I wanted to participate in was canceled, but I didn't give up the idea so I signed up to run half a marathon in Bucharest, that takes place in 34 days.During the last 3 months I've ran cumulatively about 250km (cca 155 miles). It's like going from Chisinau to Iasi and back, or going halfway between Odessa and Kiev.I must admit it was rather challenging to go running in the 4 out of 7 evenings and refuse hang outs with friends or drink lemonade while everybody else is drinking beer/wine and enjoying the best of summer. However, without the support of my friends I wouldn't have been able to keep running. Some of them joined me on my evening runs and I want to thank each one of them for their support! It's my first half marathon, and actually any race for that matter. Half a marathon is 21.1 kilometers or 13 miles long. Additionally, I'm not just running the half marathon, but I'm doing it to support Hospice Angelus in Moldova. It is the leading provider of care to children and adults in Europe’s poorest country suffering from life-limiting and incurable illnesses.  Any of you who is reading this can help me reach my target and contribute to the organization via my fundraising page! We're just 6 people running from Moldova to support and fundraise for Hospice Angelus in Moldova, and any of contributions will go directly to the work of these amazing people!Meanwhile, the next month will be an intense work out and preparation for one of the most challenging experiences this year! Knowing that my friends from all around the world support me is the greatest reward I can think of!I will keep you posted about my workouts and my first marathon experience, meanwhile I want to share with you my inspiration for this month.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUYUvY6quE0]
