Welcoming Cockroaches.

I exit the airplane and a heat wave hits me, well “hit” is not the best way to describe it, it ‘hugs’ me tightly in a very non-modest way. Can you recall the hottest day of summer?! Well, this heat is 10 times worse. It’s not only hot as hell, it’s stuffy as well, that’s why it’s really hard to breath. First thing as you arrive in the airport in China you need to pass a quarantine check. Guess who failed the check?!! Right! ME:) Apparently, the monitors showed that I have a slightly higher temperature. So they take me to another room and take my temperature: it’s 38C! Pizdets (for engl: Fuck!) In my thoughts: Of course it’s 38, it’s freaking boiling outside (though it was 1 o’clock in the night). I explained that I’m not used to this kind of heat and they let me go in peace:)Since it was 1 am when I arrived and the company I intern at is in the neighboring city, I stayed the first night in a motel in Guangzhou. A girl from AIESEC met me at the airport and drove me to the motel. Well, great thing about the room was that it had air-conditioner; the less exciting were 2 cockroaches that welcomed me. BIG, FAT, BLACK cockroaches- disgusting!!!! Very sneaky too ,cuz it took me some time to hit them with my tapacik (flip flop). I covered the bodies with the trash bin and a piece of paper: they were too disgusting to touch even when dead :POne hell of a night. While falling asleep all I could think about is hoping that the cockroaches are not smart enough to climb on my bed… PS: Thanks for my cockroach-combat skills to my BG girls.
